Subscription Plans
Bookcicle offers four main subscription tiers to fit your needs:
1. Basic (Free)

2. Creator
- Everything in Basic
- Metered Workflow Services (pay-as-you-go, see below for metered AI pricing)
- Self-service AI budget: up to $80 / month†
- Cloud storage: 5 GB†
- Anchors: 2 / month
- Notary attests: 50 / month
- Price: $19/month or $217/year
3. Creator Pro
- Everything in Creator
- Self-service AI budget: up to $160 / month†
- Cloud storage: 20 GB†
- Anchors: 5 / month
- Notary attests: 80 / month
- Price: $39/month or $445/year
4. Studio
- Everything in Creator Pro
- Unlimited§ Workflow Services
- Choose any AI model
- Cloud storage: 200 GB†
- Anchors: 10 / month
- Notary attests: 100 / month
- Availability: gated / limited release — request access via the Studio waitlist
How to Subscribe
- Basic: Click Create free account to sign up.
- Creator / Creator Pro: Click Start Creator or Start Creator Pro for monthly or yearly billing. New subscribers complete payment first, then create their account with the same email used at checkout.
- Studio: Studio is gated. Click Request Studio access to join the waitlist.

Metered AI Pricing (Creator Plans)
If you're on a Creator-family subscription, you can access metered AI services and only pay for what you use. Here's how it works:
How Metered Billing Works
- Usage up to $1 per billing period is free. If your total metered AI usage fees for a billing period are at or below one U.S. dollar (US $1.00), you will not be charged for that period.
- Once usage exceeds $1, the full period is billed. If your total metered AI usage fees exceed US $1.00 in a billing period, Bookcicle bills you for the full metered usage in that billing period (not just the amount above $1).
- Billing periods follow your subscription. Your metered AI usage is grouped by your subscription’s billing period (e.g., monthly), not by calendar month.
- Small markup helps fund the platform (infrastructure, security, and distributed “agent swarms”).
Monthly AI Budget Caps
Bookcicle also lets eligible subscribers on metered plans set a self-service AI spending cap on their account to help control usage.
- Creator default AI budget: $30 / month, adjustable up to $80 / month
- Creator Pro default AI budget: $50 / month, adjustable up to $160 / month
Studio does not currently use this self-service AI budget control.
Once your configured AI budget is reached for the current billing period, further AI requests may be denied until the next period begins, unless you lower or raise your cap within the limits allowed by your plan.
Bookcicle uses a conservative internal estimate when deciding whether a new AI request would exceed your configured budget. In practice, enforcement may occur slightly before or after your exact target amount.
AI Provider Pricing
Bookcicle partners with multiple AI providers. Pricing varies by provider and model. For each provider, you'll find:
- Model name and type (text or image)
- Input and output token pricing (for text models)
- Image generation pricing (for image models)
- Markups (typically a small percentage to support Bookcicle)
- Deprecated models are clearly marked and may be unavailable

Frequently Asked Questions
How do AI budget caps work?
Eligible subscription plans include a self-service AI budget control. You can set a lower cap yourself, but the maximum you can set depends on your metered plan. Once the configured cap is reached for the billing period, new AI requests may be blocked until the next period begins.
Are cloud storage limits strict?
No, cloud-storage quotas are soft limits. You'll receive alerts well before you reach the cap.
How do I buy a one-off service?
Just click Buy Now on the service you want. Add-ons (like Advanced Analytics) require you to have the main service ( e.g., Editorial) in your cart.
